In the Chidambaram Temple, Shiva is worshipped as akaśa lingam – a beam of light representing aether – the Infinite existing everywhere, in everything, for eternity. As Nataraja, Shiva manifests as the movement of subatomic particles, the cosmic dance of continuous creation, preservation, and dissolution.
